I trust that the preparations for the final examinations are going well? I wish you all the best, especially our grade 12 learners, as we round off this term. I would like to draw your attention to the following important reminders:
Circular 40/2013 - Textbook & Worbook Shortages
I trust that you have engaged with the contents of this circular. Please note that you must report all textbook shortages to me by Thursday, 31 October 2013.
The workbooks for 2014 are also being delivered. Shortages in terms of the workbooks must be completed on Annexure B and submitted to me by 14 November 2013.
Should I not receive any shortages by these dates, I will accept that the textbooks & workbooks received were correct and in line with the orders that you placed.
Business Strategy & Stakeholder Management Minute 5/2013
At our Principals meeting we arranged for the SIP Action plan to be completed as in 2012 and to submit this document in the first week of 2014. Subsequent to our meeting, the above mentioned minute was published. Unfortunately we were not aware of this development at the time of our meeting. As a result, this minute overrides the discussion at our meeting.
Please note that the SIP Action Plan is now part of the Electronic SIP. You are therefore not required to complete a separate document for the circuit/ district. Your online SIP is due by 30 November 2013. Please do note these changes and make the necessary adjustments to your term programme.
SPMDS - Annexure C1 & Certificates
Some schools have yet to submit their Annexures C1 and their Certificates to Lesley Hutchings. If you have not forwarded these documents as yet, please do so immediately and fax it to Lesley on Fax No.: 0866 215 725.
SIM Sign-Off
Please complete the SIM on line (CEMIS) in the interim. When I meet with you we will finalise the document and sign it off. I shall issue you with a school visit roster by the end of the week.
Principals Farewell Function
The above - mentioned event, which was originally scheduled for Thursday 14 November, has now been moved to Wednesday 13 November 2013, to accommodate the principals meeting with the district director.
